多年來一直想去看看猶他州政府廣場前四百多棵的櫻花繽紛綻放，但是去年還是錯過了。前­幾天在台灣的時候上KSL網絡看到觀眾上載的照片，知道現在是櫻花盛開的時候了。於是­在週日教會結束之後，決定和Phoebe一起去State Capitol觀賞櫻花(麗珠去買菜錯過機會)，結果真是不虛此行，不僅櫻花盛開，天­氣還晴時多雲偶微雨，正是拍照的好時間。

Praise the Lord for a blessed Sunday afternoon hike of Great Western Trail in East Canyon. Now is the perfect time to see the wildflowers in East Canyon. Most people in our hiking group made it to the top of Big Mountain. By the time I was almost there, our group had started heading down. That was because the trail was full of distractions - the wildflowers. It was a perfect time and day to photograph these flowers due to overcast sky, but it also paradoxically poses some challenges if you include too much sky in the photo (too bright because of the cloud compared to the foreground flowers). None of us was disappointed by the amazing scenery. Every twist and turn of the trail surprised us with magnificent display of nature's best beauty. If you were there, I am sure the song 野地的花 will instantly come to your mind. Thanks for a wonderful fellowship on the trail and thanks for coming to the hike with friends to enjoy God's beautiful creation! I hope that you also snapped some photos along the trail. By the way, my friend Masami (I met her when Phoebe was taking ice-skating lesson at the County Ice Center in Murray) wants me to thank you all for being very kind to her. She had a great time hiking with us. She was also surprised that we have someone (Elsa Liu) in our group can speak fluent Japanese with her.

感謝神給我們一個美麗的週日下午，讓許多家庭可以到Big Cottonwood Canyon的Willow Lake踏青。之前幾天鹽湖城幾乎下午都有雷陣雨，剛到trailhead的時候，天空還滴了幾滴雨，不過，開始健行之後，天空開始放情，微風吹起，走在翠綠的白楊樹裡，特別感到清爽。到了湖之後，湖水清澈如鏡，小孩子們在湖邊玩的不亦樂乎。路旁的野花也開始綻放美麗的顏色。踏青照片link

感謝主！一群愛好爬山的弟兄姊妹，在復活節的週日下午再次到猶他大學附近的山上一起去爬山。今天的天氣特別暖和，氣溫大約七十度左右。我們在Popperton Park停車場集合後向目的地出發，沿途有shrub oak樹遮陽，也有小溪，風景美麗，不過也有不少騎車的愛好者，一起向山頂前進。下山時經過猶他大學的有名的Block U，許多弟兄姊妹都攝影留念。再次感謝主，讓大家在身心靈裡享受神所為我們創造的大自然及弟兄姊妹們在主愛裡的團契。

2012-03-25 Mt Van Cott Hiking (#2)

感謝主，又賜給我們一風和日麗的好天氣，讓我們能在週日下午到猶他大學邊上的Mt Van Cott健行。這次大家都能順利的找到trailhead停車場，健行時笑聲此起彼落，每個人步伐有快有慢，整個健行步道上都可以看到我們的弟兄姊妹。由於健行步道到處都有，我們下山的時候，有的走錯路〈哈哈，就像迷失的羊〉，走到崎嶇不平又陡峭的山路，柏衛(文靜的先生)下來到停車場之後跟我開玩笑的說，下次跟裔文出來健行，千萬要記得買醫療保險！不過真的很感謝神，每個人都平安的下山。希望大家也都在身心靈裡享受神所為我們創造的大自然及弟兄姊妹們在主愛裡的團契。

今年的冬天似乎特別暖和，最近一週平均氣溫將近六十度，許多喜歡野外踏青的弟兄姊妹已經問我什麼時候去hiking，剛好這個週日氣象預報是個天氣情郎溫度暖和的好天氣。週日下午三點鐘有十部車在教會停車場集合，我們一路浩浩蕩蕩開到trailhead，hiking路上弟兄姊妹和小孩子們有說有笑，不亦樂乎。孫傳道也把家裡的狗(Elmo)帶來，小孩子特別喜歡牽著狗一起hiking。快到山頂時，開始刮風，不過teenagers特別喜歡，尤其爬在雪上，更覺得刺激。

The weather was warm for our #20 hike this Sunday. We went hiking at the Bells Canyon trail in Sandy. Leaves are a bit dried but still beautiful. The water was clean and everyone enjoyed a nice day out in the beautiful Wasatch mountains. Probably the last hike in 2011. Praise the Lord for the 20 hikes we've gone on this year. So many fond memories and highlights. So much breathtaking scenery.

The warm weather continued this weekend and high temperature reached 72 degrees. We went hiking almost like in our backyard since the trail head is just above the Olympus Cove residential area. By the time we arrived at the trail head, the parking lot was quite full. On our way up the trail, we met with brothers and sisters from Faith cell group, who started the hike at 1:30 pm. There were still plenty of fall foliage on the trail and the scenery was gorgeous!

Dog Lake in Big Cottonwood Canyon has great aspen fall color on the north side of the trail looking south. The aspen trees display shades of green and yellow at this time of the year. We have a big group this time hiking the Dog Lake trail (in Mill D North). Weather is a bit cloudy, but we get about 30 minutes of blue sky. Light raindrop fell toward the end of the hike. Hopefully, we have a few weeks of good and mild weather for us to hike. Some of our teens got on the wrong trail leading to Desolation Lake. The trail sign at the fork was vandalized so it wasn't possible for them to tell which way to go. The right path leads to Dog Lake, and the left path leads to Desolation Lake. But we got Keyi and Guojiang chasing after them when we found out at Dog Lake that they were heading to Desolation Lake. Our group started the hike around 3:15 and returned to trail head around 6:30. The sun broken through the clouds and lit up the mountain top. It was quite a scene! Brother Qiang met us half way when we headed down the trail.
